About the job

We are launching an SME lending startup in Myanmar, with the vision to become the leading champion in SME lending for the common man while developing revolutionary fin-tech products that will change the whole conservative lending industry. Being a part of this ambitious project is what drives us every day and makes us achieve the best results for our clients and reach our ambitious goals for 2018.

We are currently looking for an Accountant and HR Officer to support the growth of our local operations.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to make sure all accounting and HR processes run smoothly across our local ventures. You will be responsible for deploying finance operations for new ventures, coordinate with our global finance lead, ensure the money are spent wisely and efficiently and advise local management by providing accurate financial information.


  • Maintain detailed transaction list of actual expenses incurred, including supporting documentation, for various Seedstars ventures in Myanmar
  • Prepare reconciliation statements for bank and petty cash accounts
  • Monitor expenditure process policy locally
  • Assist in interacting with external agencies/Departments and organizations concerned with accounting matters


  • Maintain employees records and paperwork
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in terms of social security contributions and other requirements.

Your profile

  • You are a strong believer in our mission
  • You have minimum 2 years of accounting experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  • Good skills of computerized accounting, MS Office Word & Excel Skills
  • Good financial analyzing and reporting skill
  • Good communication skill in between clients, subordinates, directors etc
  • Fluency in English and in Burmese
