About the job
QuickCheck is seeking to hire a 'hands-on' Operations Manager to join its team in Lagos. You will be in charge of overseeing the day-to-day activities surrounding financial transactions, providing inspired leadership for the operation of our business, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of internal procedures, by dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities for this role include
Ensure 24/7 business continuity, by designing operations strategy, policies, processes and quality control encompassing internal teams and external service providers
Be the focal point for any escalation related to operational/system issues
Map business risks, define and implement mitigation plan to avoid any single point of failure
Enable internal teams’ efficient operation by identifying, sourcing, improving the necessary tools
Manage external service providers such as banks, payment processors, messaging,... to ensure the smoothest integration
Proactively monitor and analyze data, in order to optimize efficiency and to identify trends/changes that need mitigation measures
Coordinate the Operations team by defining activities, KPIs to monitor squad performance
Produce accurate, regular performance reports for the management team
Support execution of financial operations on the ground
Proactive, with an innate drive to exploring different options for reaching results
You have high attention to detail and feel the need to “having everything under control”
Highly organized, the folders in your computer have a tree structure by category
2-3 years in handling operations, optimizing processes, with an understanding of the big picture and its business implications
You possess strong analytical and IT skills, proficiency in Excel. It is required SQL knowledge
Experience in a dynamic environment such as (fin)tech startup will be highly valued
Strong leadership skills: you lead by example, humble but with high ambitions and desire to learn more
You like autonomy and have the ability to adapt to new challenges and uncertainty in a fast-paced environment
You read daily internet/mobile market trends and in love with technology: you use it to optimize your time and work more efficiently
