About Lendigo

Lendigo is a high-growth financial technology company, focusing on SME lending in all areas. Our vision is to become the leading champion in SME lending for the common man in Nigeria while developing revolutionary fin-tech products that will change the whole conservative lending industry. Being a part of this ambitious project is what drives us every day and makes us achieve the best results for our clients and reach our ambitious goals.

About the job

If Fintech sounds interesting to you and if autonomy, a steep learning curve, and responsibility from day one are what you desire, then you might be the right fit for us!

Lendigo is seeking to hire a Data-Driven Accountant to join its team in Lagos, reporting directly to the country's senior accountant. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations involving all accounting transactions, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, expenses, bank payments, local taxes, capital importation, allocation of idle funds, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate must be familiar with accounting procedures and should have experience with accounting software programs (like Xero).

Who we are looking for

We’re focused on culture first. We want someone with a soul. Someone who does the right thing. Someone without ego. We’re looking for someone we want to hang out with, laugh with, and work with. Social skills are a must.

We bet on raw talent over tenure. The baseline: candidates need to have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. That said, what we want most is someone that’s hungry. That’s more important to us than years of experience.

Experience in growing and managing employees at an early-stage company would be helpful, but not required.
